There are kinds of fertilizers sold in the markets but the planters should know and figure out what fertilizers to apply to increase the harvest, and also to notice environmental aspects as the consideration.
Regional Agronomist of Anglo American Crop Nutrients, Dadang Gusyana said, as one fertilizer producer in the world, the company produces the good and environmental fertilizer for palm oil.
Dadang who graduated from Magister Agronomy at Universitas Winaya Mukti, Bandung also mentioned that POLY4 produced by Anglo American Crop Nutrients would be able to be the future “game changer” in plantation, food plantation, horticulture fertilization system by proposing sustainable concepts.
In general, the difference between POLY4 and others is because it is not ordinary potassium fertilizer because POLY4 has kinds of ingredients, such as, Magnesium (Mg), Calcium (Ca), Sulfur and other micro substances that plantations need of.
“The smallholders/planters or other fertilizer recommenders would be easier to apply and save their costs,” Dadang who once worked in multi – national company for commodity, said.
It is believed, the fertilizer is “less chlorine” and more profitable for any plantation which is sensitive to chlorine. The plantation would be avoidable from toxic danger or ‘over dosage’ because chlorin is mostly taken by the main substance.

As a nutrient expert, he believed that the product is the best to fertilization program 4R (four right). The first is right kind which means, kinds of fertilizer should be adjusted to nutrient substances that plantations need.
The second, right doze which means, fertilizer should be right in doze and adjusted with the numbers of nutrients that the plantations need in the growth. The third is right time which means, it needs to adjust the time with nutrients in each phase/age of plantation, and weather condition.
The fourth is right way which means, the application should be adjusted with the fertilizer physics, pattern of planting, soil condition, physical, biological, and chemical characteristic of the soil. He said that applying sources of nutrients right in kinds, doze, time, and way is the concept of 4R nutrient concept. (T2)
