Palmoilmagazine, BADUNG – When some suggested that the government should stop domestic market obligation (DMO) for palm oil, the government through Ministry of Trade responded it.
Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan confirmed, DMO would not stop. It means, every stakeholder should always supply 300.000 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) in this country. “It is not happening,” Zulkifli told to some journalists at Pasar Badung, Bali, Wednesday (21/9/2022).
General Director in duty of Internal Trade Ministry of Trade, Syailendra told, DMO would always be available to guarantee palm cooking oil supply to maintain the price.
"(The stakeholders in this country) should supply 300.000 tons to maintain the stock and we keep monitoring the realization. They never supply less than the numbers,” Syailendra said, as quoted from Detik.
He continued many can export CPO in big numbers as the response to the journalists question about the loss of export potential. “If the stakeholders supply 300 thousand tons, they can export CPO up to 2,7 million tons," Syailendra said. (T2)
